Steering racks require up to 6 straightening points. Through special measurement systems and software algorithms, workpiece measurement is 100% guaranteed on the toothed portion either round or Y-shaped. In less than 3 seconds the machine can provide data on the actual workpiece deformation along its axis, achieving the ideal straightening strategy within a short cycle time.
Machine size depends on the section and length of parts.
The machine can be equipped with specific anvils and punches depending on workpiece section. For a better process efficiency and increase of hourly production, the straightener can be completed with:
Workpiece traceability system, complete with DMC (data matrix code) is becoming even more and more necessary.
Steering racks can be loaded/unloaded manually by the operator or continuous feeding systems together with grips, gantry loaders or 6-axis robots can be used to achieve the best productivity. For high productions a workpiece buffer is also foreseen.
